About Me and Future Posts
Hello! I’m Sabrina Mei, a high school junior.
I find it interesting how computers can be superior to the human mind in some aspects and applications, but inferior in others. In addition to AI and coding, I enjoy digit art, painting, and reading. I’m currently reading the Arc of a Scythe trilogy by Nel Shusterman, which actually deals with a sentient AI and human immortality.
I am currently working on the Visual QA project with instructor Khaled Jedoui. This project aims to create a tool to help those who are visually impaired to navigate the world. The Inspirit AI program was the first time I was exposed to AI in-depth, and the first time I had used code to create a machine learning model.

Over the coming weeks, I will be writing about different ways AI can and is being used in healthcare and medicine! I will be diving into specific emerging projects, as well as the possible benefits and consequences of the wide-spread use of those technologies.
Anyone with an interest in medicine and/or AI will enjoy this blog! I won’t go too in-depth with the technical aspects of AI, so it will be more informative about the applications of AI as opposed to how the technology actually works.
I hope my blog will be something interesting and fun to read, and that anyone who reads my posts will learn something from them. I want to show that AI isn’t an intimidating subject. Since the field is growing quickly, people should be aware of how it might impact their lives in the future.
